More Info on the Recent System Outage
November 27, 2007 | In News & Announcements |Just a quick note here to explain a little more about the service interruption that took place on Monday, November 26. As you know, we care a great deal about our maintaining a positive and successful relationship with you. With that in mind, Rich Riley, SVP Online Channel Division, has posted an apology and explanation to merchants and consumers for the recent system outage on the corporate Yahoo! blog Yodel Anecdotal. Paul, don’t your think it a little odd that Riley posted his comments on an obscure blog like that instead of here where the impacted community would naturally expect it to be?
You guys have gotten a real black eye from this and much of it can be traced to the really inept way Yahoo communicates with its customers.

Since Yodel Anecdotal is the official company blog for Yahoo! and more heavily visited than the YStoreblog, Rich felt it was important to offer an apology and explanation there instead of here. That said, he asked that I post a note to make sure everyone here was aware of what was said on Yodel.
